Vance Russell

Senior Vice President, Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC)

Vance Russell is the SVP of Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) at Braveheart Bio, with over 30 years of experience in process development, manufacturing, and supply chain across a broad range of therapeutic areas and product modalities. Before joining Braveheart, Vance led the Technical Operations team at Reata Pharmaceuticals, where he oversaw development and commercialization of the lead program through the company’s acquisition by Biogen and continued in a leadership role following integration. Earlier in his career, Vance held multiple technical leadership roles at Merck & Co., Inc. and Actavis/Allergan. Vance holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University.
